Calvin "Pete" Eugene Hedges

Calvin E. “Pete” Hedges Sr., age 85, of Fort Wayne, passed away on February 6, 2016 surrounded by his loved ones.  Mr. Hedges was born on December 11, 1930 in Fort Wayne, to the late Timothy Hedges and Clara (Huber) Hedges.  Pete served his country honorably with the United States Army and helped fight in the Korean War.  He retired from Schenkel and Sons as a truck driver.  He also delivered ice for Mohan and papers for The Journal. 

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis of 58 years, son, Garry, grandchildren, Stacey, Shane, Tabatha and Jeremy, great-grandchildren, Izabela, Lauren, Jessica, Christopher, Angel, Dalton, Colin, Dillin and Louis. 

Calvin was also preceded in death by his son, Calvin Jr., daughter, Christine, grandson, Chris, and all nine brothers and sisters.

A funeral service will take place on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at 2 pm at Ceruti’s Summit Park, 6601 Innovation Blvd, Fort Wayne, IN 46818.  Visitation will take place prior to the funeral service from 11am-2pm.

Burial will take place at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in New Haven.  

Officiating the funeral service is Stacey Antunovic.
