Our condolences to Connie and family and Carolyn. We treasure our recent visit with Claridon a few weeks ago. We talked about the good times we had at his parents' farm many years ago. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Sorry to learn of Clairdon's passing. We were boyhood friends and played together as young boys as his Dad's farm and my family's farm were close. One of our fun things to do was to mix water with chicken feed, turn them into "pies", pretend to bake them, and then feed them to the chickens.

Connie and family!
We are so sorry to hear of Clairdon's passing. It was truly a shock as we were going back and forth on Facebook. A lot of memories and enjoyment when we were together on the farm and elsewhere. I will miss him greatly.

Connie,
My deepest condolences to you and your family. Clairdon was a great man. I know grandpa and grandma Metzger were there to greet him in heaven, and I'm sure grandma already kicked them out to the barn because of their mischievous ways. Remembering all the good times they had together. Many hugs and prayers to you at this difficult time.

We were so sorry to hear of Clairdons passing. Clairdon & Connie were chaperones of a trip to New Orleans in 1965 that I was on. And CAROLYN has been a part of our family's life for many years. Again, so sorry for your loss.

Thanks to everyones kind words and prayers for this family, my family. Hearing from old friends and family during these fragile times, helps keep the good memories alive. Clairdon and I grew up on the family farm, and many times we viewed our friends as having all the fancy things in life as being rich. As we age, and lose our much precious resources, our wisdom was enlightened by our losing our dear father so young. Keeping a close hold on our dear Mother for the next 35 years, was not taken for granted. Hard work on the farm taught us great works ethics, and having the pride of intregity to do the right thing, especially when no one is watching. It turned out that we had it all, loving parents who taught right from wrong, and plenty of room and sunshine to grow up country and be proud of it. All the chores, 4-H projects, of all the many folks that ate our table, neighbors ,classmates and those who were mentored along the way...as our lives passed and were touched by each of you ...I say THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. Thanks for the memories. I have never been one to say "good bye"...see ya later big brother, you will be missed by so many.
