Corbet Green

Corbet Green, age 86, of Kendallville, passed away on Monday, April 18, 2016 at his residence.  Mr. Green was born on September 10, 1929 in Elm Rock, Kentucky to the late Billy Green and Bertha (Collins) Green.  On January 15, 1949 Corbet married Corene Terry in Knott County, Kentucky.  Corbet worked for Lane Foundry near Kendallville for 17 years.  He was a member of the Community Baptist Church near South Milford.  He enjoyed being outdoors and loved fishing, hunting and camping.  Corbet also enjoyed tending to his garden, dog trading and spending time with his family and loved ones    

Survivors include:
Wife, Corene Green of Kendallville. 
Daughter, Dorothy and Jim Manns of Kendallville.
Son, Donald and Barbara Green of Kendallville.
Daughter, Wilma and Bobby Manns of Kendallville.
7 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Sister, Stella Mae of Kentucky.

He was also preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Green; sisters; Pearlie, Sylvia, and Addie; brothers; George, Otis, Troy, Shelby, Coy, and Eladinie.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2016 from 11 a.m.- All Night with an evening service at 6 p.m. at Community Baptist Church, 700 South, near South Milford, Indiana.

Funeral service will take place on Friday, April 22, 2016 at 11 am at Community Baptist Church.

Burial will take place at Christian Union Cemetery near Garrett.  

Pallbears will be Milford Terry, Rodney Manns, Jamie Manns, Corbet Blake Green, Anthony Dwayne Green, Donald Neal Green, Delbert Terry and Donald Ray Green.

Officiating the funeral services are pastors Willie Collins and Carl Ritchie.
