Gerald "Gus" Arthur Shull, age 83, of Kendallville, passed away on Monday, June 12, 2017 at his residence.  Mr. Shull was born on April 7, 1934, in Kendallville, Indiana to the late Sylvan Obed and Talitha Gertrude (Axel) Shull.  He graduated from Rome City High School in 1952.  Mr. Shull served his country honorably during the Korean War Era with the Army Reserves.  On May 19, 1978, Gus married the love of his life, JimEva Goodwin in Rome City.  Gus worked in construction all of his life.  He owned and operated Dallas Bay Estates and was a general contractor for site development.  Gus also worked for Key Estates for 10 years.  Together he and his wife co-owned Shull's Mobile Home Park near West Lakes.  Gus was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Kendallville, Eastern Star Sylvan Chapter, Scottish Rite,  Fort Wayne Shriners, and Rome City American Legion Post #381.  He was a self-driven entrepreneur and loved working hard.  Gus loved his wife, family and grandchildren.  He enjoyed boating and socializing with his many friends.  

Survivors include:
Spouse, JimEva Shull of Kendallville.
Son, Douglas and Janie Shull of Massillon, Ohio.
Son, Steve Mishler of Fort Wayne.
Daughter, Shawna and Paul Koehler of LaGrange.
Son, Jeff and Tammy Mishler of Rome City.
9 grandchildren: Katie Marzion, Kayla Stephan, Michael Shull, Steve Gray, Mathew Hershberger, Arthur Koehler, Aidan Koehler, Cherise Mishler, and Taryn Herron.
8 great-grandchildren.

Gus was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Wayne Shull.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 15, 2017 from 3:00pm-8:00pm at Hite Funeral Home, 403 South Main Street, Kendallville, Indiana 46755.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 16, 2017 at 11:00am at Hite Funeral Home.
Officiating the funeral services will be Pastor Diana Siegel.
Memorial donations may be directed to Heartland Hospice.
