HAROLD L. BAILEY, age 93, of Kendallville, died on Sunday, January 11, 2015 at Hickory Creek Nursing Home in Kendallville.  Mr. Bailey was born in Ligonier on August 13, 1921 to the late Harry and Hazel (Freshe) Bailey and honorably served his country in the United States Army.  He married Odra M. Lawson on March 15, 1941 in Cosperville.  She preceded him in death on October 21, 2001.  Harold was a successful home builder and carpenter in the Kendallville area.  He owned and operated Harold Bailey Construction in Kendallville for 58 years.  Harold and Odie were avid motorcylists and together they loved traveling the United States and Canada.  

Survivors include: 
Daughter, Beverly and Robert Krock of Kendallville.
Son, Brian and Debra Bailey of Avilla.
Five grandchildren: Robert and Kathy Krock, Jr. of Witmer Lake near Wolcottville;  Kim and Larry March of Avilla; Kelly Pastzor of Mississippi; Corey and Jamie Bailey of Avilla and Chad and Angela Bailey of Avilla.
Eleven great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
Brother, Donald and Oneta Bailey of Lakeland, Florida.

He was preceded in death by parents, his wife; Odie Bailey, two sisters; Berniece Whetzel and Ethel Fritz and her brother; Kenneth Bailey.

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 14, 2015 from 5:00 to 7:00pm at Hite Funeral Home, 403 South Main Street in Kendallville.

Funeral services will be Thursday, January 15, 2015 at 12:00 noon with one hour of calling before the service at Hite Funeral Home.

Officiating the funeral service will be Rev. Sam  Weimer.

Burial will be at Orange Cemetery near Rome City.

Preferred memorials may be made to American Legion Post 86 in Kendallville.
