Harvey Banks

Harvey W. Banks, age 90, died Sunday, April 23, 2017 at Laurels of Dekalb in Butler, Indiana.  Mr. Banks was born March 27, 1927 in Vancleve, Kentucky to the late Berlin and Lilly Mae (Vires) Banks.  He married Lucille Reinhoele in 1946 and she preceded him in death.  Harvey worked on a potato and mint farm near LaOtto, Indiana for many years.   

Survivors include:
Daughter, Janice Libby of California.
Two grandchildren, Steve Sleek and JJ Sleek.
Six great grandchildren.
Sister, Nanny Bell Hurley of Jackson, Kentucky.
Caregiver and friend, Billy Wicker of Edgerton, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Luther Columbus “L.C.” Banks, Pearl Vernon “George” Banks, and George “O.C.” Banks; and one sister, Bessie Little.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 25, 2017 from 4:00 – 6:00 PM with a service at 6:00 PM at the Helmer Independent Church. 
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at 2:00 PM at the Helmer Independent Baptist Church with Rev. Rick Davis and Rev. Oley Smith officiating.
Burial will take place at Orange Cemetery near Rome City.
