Helen Jane (Zelt) Selking
Comfort and joy that she was called out of her long illness to join the choir of angels singing praises to her Lord on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Adam’s Heritage Nursing Home.  Known by many as (LaLa) she had a ready smile for all.  She had an unusual knack of calming the crying babies.  She enjoyed volunteering whenever she could for her church.  Surviving is her husband of 58 years, Donald Selking; daughters, Kimberly (Brent) Barnes , Donna (Robert) Retherford, and son, Kevin (Pam) Selking; brothers, Lester (Jane) Zelt, Roger (Carolyn) Zelt, James (Dora) Zelt, Stanley (Myrna) Zelt; sisters, Shirley (Ronald) Johnson, and Janet (David) Farabough.  Also surviving are eight grandsons, two granddaughters, three great-grandsons, and two great-granddaughters.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Velma Zelt, and grandsons, Blaine and Bradley Selking.
Viewing will be at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1126 South Barr Street, Fort Wayne, Indiana on Friday, February 10, 2017 from 4:00pm-8:00pm.         
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at the church at 11:00am with viewing one hour prior from 10:00am-11:00am.
In lieu of flowers, please make a memorial donation to St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church Operating Fund.
