Irene Forker, 90, died Thursday, May 4, 2017, at her daughter’s residence in Auburn. Mrs. Forker was born August 20, 1926, in Decatur, Indiana to the late Ralph and Ruth (Cable) Shively. She married Ralph Arnold Forker on April 20, 1949, and he preceded her in death on March 10, 1985. Mrs. Forker was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker.

Survivors include:
Son, John Forker of Albion.
Son, David Forker of Kendallville.
Son, Kevin and Marcia Forker of Albion.
Son, Terry and Valerie Forker of Kimmell.
Daughter, Sharon Mahoney of Fort Wayne.
Daughter, Jane and Joe Moorhouse of Albion.
Daughter, Cheryl Tomlinson of Kendallville.
Daughter, Kathy and Ronald Ley of Auburn.
24 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.  
Sister, Lucille Reynolds of Fort Wayne.
Sister, Patsy Dubuisson of Kendallville.
She was also preceded in death by her son, Jerry Wayne Forker in 1961; granddaughter, Tishie Bender; and brothers, Lawrence Cable and Richard Shively.

Visitation will be held Sunday from 2-6 p.m. at Hite Funeral Home in Kendallville.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Hite Funeral Home with Jeff Thayer officiating.
Burial will take place in Sweet Cemetery near Albion.
Memorial donations may be made to Heartland Hospice.
