Jeanette (Calhoun) Kassee

Jeanette (Calhoun) Kassee, age 69, of LaGrange, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, March 13, 2017.  Mrs. Kassee was born on September 25, 1947 in Hindman, Kentucky to the late Joseph and Naomi (Campbell) Calhoun.  She married Burchel Patrick on November 11, 1967.  He preceded her in death in 1986.  She married Henry Lee Kassee on March 21, 1987. He preceded her in death in 1998.  Jeanette was a very quiet person and she loved going to church.  Even during her last few weeks, she attended church even though she was bound to a wheelchair.  She loved being with her kids and her grandkids and she was also one of the the biggest Kentucky Wildcats fan.  She had a few special canine companions in her life, Pistol and Chase.  They were her protectors.  She was loved by all her family and she will be greatly missed.

Son, Scott Patrick of Marion.
Son, Kelly Patrick of LaGrange.
Son, Terry Patrick of LaGrange.
Step-son, Leon and Sheila Kassee of Tennessee.  
Daughter, Angie and Mike Schadel of Kendallville.
Daughter, Lisa and Kevin Kistler of Peru, Indiana.
Daughter, Rachel and Matt Pearson of Angola.
Step-son, David and Tina Patrick of Wolcottville.
18 Grandchildren and 15 Great-grandchildren.
Sister, Louvena and Stewart Mitchell of Kendallville.
Sister, Barbara and Pastor Carl Ritchie of Kendallville.
Sister-in-law, Rinda Calhoun of Howe.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands; step-son, Paul Kassee; 3 brothers, Earl Shepherd, Ergle Calhoun, and Carl Calhoun; 2 sisters, Violet Blankenship and Janice Calhoun; 2 grandchildren, Ashley Lothamer and Addisyn Brooke Conley.  

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 17, 2017 from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM at the Community Baptist Church near Wolcottville.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at at 12:00 PM at Community Baptist Church.
Burial will take place at South Milford Cemetery.
Officiating the funeral services will be pastors Ron Bell and Carl Ritchie.  
Memorials may be directed to the family.
