Johnny Owens

Johnny Noel Owens, age 48, of Avilla, passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2017 at Parkview Regional Medical Center.  Mr. Owens was born on December 13, 1968 in Kendallville to Ruben M. and Connie Jo (Halferty) Owens.  He attended East Noble High School.  Johnny worked for MP Steele, Handy and Harmon, and Dexter Axel.  On January 12, 2000, he married Margie Louise (Gannon) Owens at Ark Assembly of God.  Johnny was member of the Ark Assembly of God and he was a leader in the Boys Scouts.  He enjoyed watching television, anime, and gaming.  He enjoyed the outdoors and doing yard work.  Johnny loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his children.

Spouse, Margie Owens of Avilla.
Parents, Ruben and Connie Owens of Wolcottville.
Grandparents, Bud and Nancy Halferty of Albion.
Daughter, Sarah Owens of Rome City.
Son, Michael Owens of Avilla.
Step-son, Scott Smith of Avilla.
Step-son, Jonathon Smith of Avilla.
Brother, Jason and Nicole Owens of Wolcottville.
Several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 from 4:00pm-6:00pm at Ark Assembly of God, 125 Baum Street, Avilla, Indiana 46710.
Memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at 11:00am at Ark Assembly of God.
Burial will take place at a later date.
Officiating the funeral service will be Pastor Steve Wagner.
Memorial donations may be directed to Hite Funeral Home to help towards funeral expenses.
