Kathy Irene (Gause) Sliger

Kathy Irene Sliger, age 57, of Corunna, died unexpectedly Thursday morning, September 22, 2016, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.  Kathy was born July 30, 1959 in Kendallville, Indiana to the late Burl Gause and Phyllis Jean (Mavis) Woods.  She graduated from East Noble High School in 1977 and married Keith Walter Sliger on November 6, 1982 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Garrett, Indiana.  She was employed for 38 years was at Kraft Foods in Kendallville.  It was the only job she ever had.  She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and she enjoyed going to their lake house in Canada.  She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.  Kathy was a caring woman with a heart of gold.  She will be greatly missed by her family and by her friends, many of whom called her "mom". 

Survivors include:
Husband, Keith Sliger of Corunna.
Daughter, Kristina Sliger of Corunna.
Son, Karl Sliger of Corunna.
Three grandchildren: Kylynn Sliger, Kylur Sliger, and Kendra Sliger.
She was also preceded in death by her step father, Robert Woods; and brother, Bryan Gause. 

Gathering of family and friends will take place Tuesday, September 27, 2016 from 1:00-6:00 pm at Hite Funeral Home in Kendallville.  No funeral services planned.  Memorial donations may be made to the family.  Arrangements by Hite Funeral Home of Kendallville. www.hitefuneralhome.com
