Lola Shepherd

LOLA K. SEXTON SHEPHERD, age 87, of Kendallville, passed away at home on Monday, January 26, 2015 in the presence of her youngest son, Gary B. Sexton, granddaughter, Hope R. and Joshua Pyck, and their three children, Hunter, Kayden and McKenna Pyck.  Mrs. Shepherd was born in Hueysville, Kentucky on February 6, 1927 to the late Tilden Shepherd and Effie (Coburn) Shepherd.  Lola worked for a short at Hollyburg in Kendallville when she moved up from Kentucky but most her life was spent as a mother, homemaker and wife.  She dedicated every waking moment to the Lord and raising her family.  She was a member of the True Church of God In Jesus' Name near Kendallville.  She loved tending to her flower gardens, spending time with her family.  Fall was her favorite time of year and she loved the changing colors.

Other survivors include: 
Daughter, Jody and Danville Cordial of Michigan.
Son, Lloyd "Jim" and Becky Sexton of Kendallville.
Son, Larry and Dorlis Sexton of Kendallville.
Nine grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her ex-husband, Berlin Sexton, on March 31, 1997; and her sisters and brothers
