Louise (Shaffer) Edwards

Louise H. Edwards, age 95, of Kendallville, passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2016 at Lutheran Life Villages in Kendallville.  Mrs. Edwards was born March 8, 1921 in Laporte, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late William and Alice (Worthington) Shaffer. She was married to Merritt Edwards on July 1, 1939 in Pennsylvania and he preceded her in death October 15, 1977.  In the past, Louise worked as a waitress at various restaurants.  She was a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses and enjoyed teaching the Bible and being with her family.

Survivors include: 
Son, Bruce and Mary Lou Edwards of Kendallville.
Daughter, Berlaine and Craig Cottle of Schickshinny, Pennsylvania.
Seven grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters.

Memorial services for Louise will be held on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at 7:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 106 Miller Road in Kendallville.  Jim Charles will conduct the service.  Arrangements entrusted to Hite Funeral Home of Kendallville.  Send a condolence to the family at www.hitefuneralhome.com.
