Mary (Thomas) Howard

MARY HOWARD, age 86, of Kendallville, died on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at Kendallville Manor Health Care Center, Kendallville, Indiana.  Mrs. Howard was born in Hyden, Kentucky on May 24, 1930 to the late Walter and Ida Mae Thomas.  She married Henry Howard in Hazard, Kentucky and he preceded her in death January 7, 1985.  Mary was a loving wife, homemaker and mother.  She loved children and for many years she was a babysitter for many of families in Kendallville area.  Mary loved to go to Little League baseball games when they lived in Wawaka.  She also enjoyed watching Little League baseball on television.  Mary loved putting out a big garden every year.

Survivors include: 
Daughter, Barbara Halderman of Kendallville.
Son, Roger Howard of Kendallville.
Son, Donald Howard of Kendallville.
Seven grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by two sons, James Henry Howard and Gary David Howard; grandson, Joshua Halderman;
sister, Avis Studebaker; and brothers, Albert Thomas and Bill Thomas

Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at 11:00 am at Hite Funeral Home in Kendallville with visitation an hour prior to the funeral service.
Officiating the funeral service will be Pastor James LaFollette from the Cosperville Baptist Church.
Burial will be at Lake View Cemetery in Kendallville.
