Mary Lucille (Quillet) Lawrence

Mary Lucille Lawrence, age 92, of Kendallville, passed away on Friday, June 16, 2017 at Presence Sacred Heart in Avilla.  Mrs. Lawrence was born in Wauseon, Ohio on October 10, 1924 to the late Howard J. and Bertha Catherine (Lauber) Quillet.  She graduated from Wauseon High School in 1942.  On June 28, 1944, she married Richard Wayne Lawrence in Wauseon, Ohio.  Together, she and Richard owned and operated Kendallville Fertilizer Compancy, Inc from 1955-1988.  Mary was a member of the First Christian Chuch in Kendallville.  She enjoyed fishing, playing cards, and bingo.
Survivors include:
Son, Marlin and Leslie Lawrence of Fishers, Indiana.
Son, Perry and Diana Lawrence of Kendallville.
Son, Gene and Janine Lawrence of Kendallville.
Grandchildren: Amy and Aaron Campbell of Fishers; Lisa and Travis Wilson of Indianapolis; Emily and Ryan Gossett of Chicago; Janelle and Rich Lilljeberg of Indianapolis, Lori and John Hook of Fishers; Scott and Susan Lawrence of Avilla; and Jordan Lawrence and Jessica Kaough of Wolcottville.
Great-grandchildren: Samuel, Sarah, and Sage Lawrence; Harrison and Ethan Campbell; Tristan and Tanner Wilson; and Camden Trulock.  

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband; Richard Wayne Lawrence, sister; Virgie Strayer, and brother; Verl Quillet.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at 2:00pm with calling from 11:00am-2:00pm at Hite Funeral Home, 403 South Main Street, Kendallville, Indiana 46755.
Burial will take place at Orange Cemetery.
Officiating the funeral service will be Pastor Tom Clothier.
Memorial donations may be directed to First Christian Church.
