MARY JANE NARTKER, age 63, of South Milford died on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at Parkview Memorial Hospital in Fort Wayne.

Mary was born in Kendallville on April 20, 1951 to Cecil and Doris (Miller) Franklin.

She married David Nartker on July 1, 2002 and he survives in South Milford.

Mary worked for many years at Kendallville Essex in Kendallville.  She then worked at Scott's Grocery Store in Kendallville for three years and Alternative Lifestyles in LaGrange for 5 years.  Mary was a member of the Kendallville Eagles Auxillary. 

She was a loving and understanding wife and friend.  Mary was a good housekeeper, good cook and enjoyed social family gatherings.  She loved to read, liked interior and exterior home decorating, like flowers and flower arranging and had an angel collection that she enjoyed.  Mary always smiled to strangers, especially babies and young children.

Survivors include:

Husband; David E. Nartker of South Milford.
Sister; Judy and Doug Reed of LaGrange.
Brother; Jim and Sallie Franklin of Howe.
Sister; Brenda and Jeff Souder of Fort Wayne.
Many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Many many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be Sunday, March 29, 2015 from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at Hite Funeral Home, 403 South Main Street in Kendallville.

A graveside committal service will be Monday, March 30, 2015 at 11:00 AM at South Milford Cemetery in South Milford.

Officiating the committal service will be Rev. Glenn Patrick.

Burial will be at South Milford Cemetery.

Preferred memorials may be directed to the family to help with expenses.
