Michael Edward Scanlon

Michael Edward Scanlon, age 69, died peacefully in his home on January 16, 2017.  Mike was born in Oswego, New York to James and Vesta (McCumber) Scanlon.  Mike served his country honorably with United States Army from July 1965 until August 1968.  He served in the Vietnam War.  After his service in the Army he obtained his GED.  He was an avid car salesman and enjoyed going to auctions.  He was a member of VFW post 7205 and the American Legion post 31.

Daugther, Christina and Jeremiah Bunch-Wert of Delton, Michigan.
Son, Jared McDonald of Fort Wayne.
Daughter, Lindsey and Ryan Muniz of Valparaiso.
Grandchildren, Tristan Leonard and Michael Bunch of Delton, Michigan, Lillian and Kinsley McDonalds of Fort Wayne, and Rylinn Muniz of Valparaiso.
Brother, Jim Scanlon of Huntertown.
Brother, Rory Scanlon of Huntertown.
Sister, Sherri (Scanlon) KArnof Auburn.
Sister, Patricia (Scanlon) Roberts of Palm Harbor, Florida.
Several Nieces and Nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 20, 2017 from 3:00-7:00pm at Hite Funeral Home, 403 South Main Street, Kendallville, Indiana 46755
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 11:00am at Hite Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
