Nina Ruth (Shively) Hubbard

NINA RUTH HUBBARD, age 90, formerly of Rochester and currently of New Haven, died on Sunday, June 26, 2016 at Parkview Memorial Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana.  Mrs. Hubbard was born in Rochester, Indiana on October 16, 1925 to the late Charles W. Shively and Glenna (Sutton) Shively.  She graduated from Richland Center High School in 1943 and married Frederick B. Hubbard on May 6, 1943 in Rochester.  Frederick preceded her in death on January 10, 1972. Nina was employed for 28 years at Woodlawn Hospital in Rochester as a medical transcriptionist.  In the past, she was a very active member of the Rochester First Church of God.  She served the church in many various capacities including board member and Sunday school teacher.  Nina loved playing and singing Gospel music.  She sang with the Sunshine Singers, Savior's Servants, and He's Alive gospel music groups.  Gospel music encompassed all of her being.  She was also attended the Old Crossroads Baptist in Gilead on Sunday evenings.

Survivors include: 
Daughter, Vicki Jo and LeRoy Winchester of New Haven.
Son, Jim Hubbard of Rochester.
Two granddaughters, Melanie and Paul Welch of Avon and Lisa Frye of Warsaw. 
Four great grandchildren: Tristan Frye, Madelon Leininger, Zachary Welch, and Kaitlyn Welch.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at 1:00 pm at The Cross, 100 West 3rd Street, Rochester, Indiana with visitation prior to the service from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Officiating the funeral service will be Rev. Greg Wolfe.  Burial will be at Reichter Cemetery near Rochester.
Memorial donations may be made to National Alzheimer's Association.
