Patricia Ann Bherns, age 78, died Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at Lutheran Life Villages in Kendallville, Indiana.  Mrs. Bherns was born October 27, 1938 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to the late Roy Allen Porter and Dora Virginia (Coleman) Workman.  She married Clinton Everett Bherns on December 5, 1955 in Angola and Clint preceded her in death on October 28, 2008.  Pat was employed with LaGrange Hospital and retired in 1996. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and Women’s Christian Fellowship.

Survivors include:
Son, John and Paula Bherns of Skinner Lake near Albion.
Son, Kenneth Bherns of Tennessee.
Daughter, Kathy and Steve Heiman of Avilla.
Daughter, Jenny and Randy Kline of Kendallville
Step father, George Workman of Kendallville.
11 grandchildren: Kim and Larry Doyle of Pittsburg, PA; Erik Bherns of Fort Wayne; Jessica and Ryan Schoof of Monroeville; Nicole and Aaron Hoyt of Kendallville; Andy Foster of Fort Wayne; Angela and Joel Herendeen of Fort Wayne; Tyler Bherns of Kendallville; and Joseph Kline, Rachel Kline, Ben Kline, and Leah Kline all of Kendallville.
3 step grandchildren: Lindy and Josh Munson of Avilla; Cori and Bryce Zolman of Churubusco; Darcy and Bobby Fish of Ligonier. 
19 great grandchildren.
Brother, Mike and Donetta Workman of Kendallville. 
She was also preceded in death by her sister, Alice Grey in 2016.

Visitation will be held Friday, March 3, 2017 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at Hite Funeral Home in Kendallville.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Hite Funeral Home with Rev. Percy Young officiating. There will be visitation an hour prior to the service.
Pallbearers will be John Bherns, Ken Bherns, Erik Bherns, Andy Foster, Joe Kline, and Ben Kline.
Burial will take place at Lake View Cemetery in Kendallville.
Memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church or Black Pine Animal Park.
