PAUL ADELBERT FORKER, age 85, of South Milford, went home to be with his heavenly Father on Sunday, April 26, 2015 at Lutheran Life Villages in Kendallville. Mr. Forker was born in Tekonsha, Michigan on April 4, 1930 to the late Cyrus and Florence Julia (Gannon) Forker. He married Mary Esther Conley Forker on August 6, 1950. Paul was employed early on with the Kendallville Foundry for a few years and he spent 25 years working at Moore's Business Forms in Angola until he retired in 1992. He was a volunteer fireman for the South Milford Fire Department for many years. He was a active member of the Kendallville Assembly of God Church for more than 50 years where he served on the board of directors for many years. Paul loved fishing, mushroom hunting, going to church, camping, being around his family and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include:
His wife of 64 years, Mary Forker of South Milford.
Son, David Forker of Lake of the Woods near Hudson.
Daughter, Darlene Bollinger of LaGrange.
Son, Rick and Angela Forker of Fort Wayne.
Son, Bruce and Cindy Forker of South Milford.
10 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Brother, Michael and Sheila Forker of Lafayette, Georgia.
Sister, Shannon and Marvin Enfield of Metz, Indiana.
He was also preceded in death by his granddaughter, Christine "Christy" Bollinger; sister, Shirley Lawrence; and stillborn brother.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 3-7:00pm at the Kendallville Assembly of God Church.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at 11:00am at the Kendallville Assembly of God, 815 North Riley Road with Pastor Robert Monroe officiating.
Burial will be at Brushy Chapel Cemetery in LaGrange County.
Casketbearers will be David Forker, Tim Bollinger, Adam Forker, Zakari Gravit, Hunter Forker, and Riley Rasler.
Memorials may be made to Kendallville Assembly of God.
