Pete Martinez Jimenez Jr.

PETE MARTINEZ JIMENEZ, JR., age 71, of Fort Wayne, Indiana died on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at his residence.   Mr. Jimenez was born in McAlister, Oklahoma on November 4, 1943 to Pete Jimenez, Sr. and Wilma (Perkey) Jimenez.  He graduated from Ball State University with an associate degree electrical engineering.  Pete also took courses at Indiana Purdue in Fort Wayne and obtained his journeyman electrician certification.  Mr. Jimenez served his country honorably in the United States Army. Pete was a jack-of-all- trades and his career started as a salesman with Botanica in Chicago.  He worked as an insurance salesman in Chicago.  He was also a welder with Hallburton in Oklahoma.  He owned his own garage and scrap yard called “Ye Old Fix It Shop.”   Later he had his own dairy farm, owned his own construction business, and was an electrician with Magnavox.  Pete was passionate about oil painting.  He also loved to work with metals and fabricate items into art.  He was a member of Toastmasters.

Survivors include:

Wife, Ella Jimenez of Fort Wayne.
Son, Pete (Amy) Jimenez III of Albion.
Son, Rueben Jimenez of Columbia City.
Daughter, Alexandra (Bob) Davis of Avilla.

Daughter, Gina (Joseph) Lanucilli of Albion
Daughter, Rebecca (Saul) Vallin of Fort Wayne
Daughter, Rita (Richard) Foster of Auburn
Sister, Rita (Herb) Solamon of Dallas, Texas
14 Grandchrildren

He was preceded in death by his parents.
