Rev. Leburn "Lee" Combs

Rev. Leburn “Lee” Combs, age 82, died Friday, January 20, 2017 at Northridge Village in Albion.  Lee was born in Emmalena, Kentucky on June 15, 1934 to the late Charles and Cassie (Napier) Combs.  He married Lucenia Moore on September 25, 1954 in Stroh, Indiana.  Lucenia preceded him in death November 12, 2011.  Lee was employed as a foreman with Curto Foundry in Ligonier for 25 years.  Rev. Combs was called into ministry in 1963 and has been the pastor of Community Baptist Church near Wolcottville since 1966. 

He is survived by:
Son, Rev. Clarence and Judy Combs of Wolcottville.
Daughter, Lilly “Sis” and John Powell of Findlay, Ohio.
Son, Kenith Combs of Kendallville.
Son, Danny Combs of Avilla.
Son, Del and Wendy Combs of Wolcottville.
Daughter, Joanna “Becky” and MSG Danny Conley of Fairbanks, Alaska.
Daughter, Shronna and Mike Mast of Rome City.
18 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
Sister, Josephine Shipe of Anniston, Alabama.
Brother, JW and Vicky Combs of Orland.
He was also preceded in death by his son, Jerry Combs in 2011; and many of his siblings. 

Visitation will be held Sunday, January 22nd from 2:00-6:00 PM at Community Baptist Church on 700 South near Wolcottville.
Visitation will also be held Monday, January 23rd from 2:00-6:00 PM at Community Baptist Church with a service at 6:00 PM.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Community Baptist Church.
Burial will take place at Orange Cemetery near Rome City. Pallbearers will be John Powell, Danny Conley, Mike Mast, Johnny Handshoe, Bob Lawson, and Carl Combs.  Honorary bearers will be his sons; Clarence, Kenith, Danny, and Del.
