ROBERT EUGENE DEAN, SR., age 65, of Kendallville, died on Monday, September 14, 2015 at his residence.  Mr. Dean was born in Terre Haute, Indiana on September 27, 1949 to the late Clarence Maurice Dean and Mary Helen (Cook) Dean.  He graduated from Albion-Jefferson High School in 1967 and married Sandra Kay Fogleson on December 10, 1977 in Ligonier.  Bob was a superviser Zanxx Federal-Mogul of Avilla for 19 years.  He also was employed Essex United Technology of Topeka for 15 years and he retired from Tribute Precast in Ashley.  He loved to watch Indiana University basketball and he enjoyed playing “Dealer's Choice” poker.  Bob bowled for many years in several leagues in Albion and Kendallville.  He enjoyed talking on his CB radio where his handle was "The Torch".  He loved traveling, especially to Las Vegas and spending time with his family.  Bob was also a big Elvis Presley fan.

Wife, Sandra  Kay Dean of Kendallville.
Daughter, Donna and Willie Slone, Kimmell.
Son, Robert E. Dean, Jr., Kendallville.
Daughter. Kay and Scott Kimmell, Kendallville.
Grandsons: Austin Slone, Kimmell and Gabriel Oakes of Avilla.
Granddaughter, Samantha Oakes-Kimmell of Kendallville.
Brother, Clarence and Gloria Dean of Columbia City.
Brother, Jack and Minnie Dean of Kendallville.
Brother, Don and Tish Dean of Kendallville.
Brother, Mike Dean of Kendallville.
Sister, Pat Fields of Terre Haute.
Sister, Betty Teague of Wisconsin.
Sister, Dorothy VanHook of Cromwell.
Sister, Peggy Dean of Kendallville.
Sisters-in-law, Margaret Dean of Kendallville; Rita Dean of Terre Haute; and Barb and Don Nagler of Angola.
Brother-in-law, Tracey Fogleson of Avilla.
Mother-in-law, Kay Shoemaker of Avilla.

He was also preceded in death by brothers, James Dean, Richard Dean, Mike Leturgez and Terry Fogleson; sisters, Mary Leturgez, Rose Dean, Margaret Dean, Camillia "Till" Dean; and father-in-law, Charlie Shoemaker.

Visitation and funeral services will be Saturday, September 19, 2015 at Hite Funeral Home in Kendallville.  Visitation will be held from 11:00am until 1:00pm with the funeral service following at 1:00pm.

Officiating the funeral service will be Terry Shoemaker.

Burial will be at Cosperville Cemetery near Wawaka.
