Robert Francis Debes

ROBERT FRANCIS DEBES, age 85, of Kendallville died on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at The Chandler House near Kendallville.  Mr. Debes was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana on March 31, 1929 to the late Walter Francis Debes and Mary Josephine (Walt) Debes.  He attended Avilla High School and served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War.  In his younger days, Bob worked at Coffey Oldsmobile in Kendallville. He was also employed General Electric and Pinkerton Security in Fort Wayne.  He was a life member of the American Legion Post 240 and St. Mary's Catholic Church in Avilla and he was a car enthusiast. 

Survivors include: 
Sister, Janet Muzzillo of Auburn.
Sister, Monica and Don Rasbaugh of Wawaka.
Brother, Leo and Carolyn Debes of Auburn.
Brother, Anthony and Martha Debes of Avilla.
Brother, Steve Debes of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Merrilee Craft.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at 1:00pm at Hite Funeral Home, Kendallville with visitation an hour prior to the service. 
Burial will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Avilla.
Memorials may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic School.
