Rodney L. Sawyer

 RODNEY L. SAWYER, age 50, of Rural LaGrange County died on Thursday, April 12, 2012 at his home. 

He was born in Garrett on January 17, 1962 to William Allen Sawyer Jr. and Ruby (Conley) Sawyer. 

Rod married Angela Short on May 5, 1980 in West Virginia.  She survives in LaGrange County. 

He owned and operated A & R Transport and he drove for the Amish Community. 

Rod was an avid hunter and he belonged to the NRA.  Most important to Rod was being with his family, especially his grandkids. 

Survivors include:

his mother; Jean Sawyer of LaGrange
his wife; Angela Sawyer of LaGrange
one son; Jeremy Sawyer of LaGrange
one daughter; Chastity and Chris Eash of LaGrange
four grandchildren; Jerrod Sawyer, Sapphire Sawyer, Jackson Eash and Silas Eash
three brothers; Chuck and Tina Sawyer of Howe
Ed and Vada Sawyer of LaGrange
David Sawyer of LaGrange
two sisters; Regina Creech of Wolcottville
Naomi and Trinity Adamski of Orland
several nieces and nephews 

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister; Sherry Sawyer and one brother; Terry Sawyer. 

Visitation will be Sunday, April 15, 2012 anytime after 2:00 PM at the Independent Baptist Church in South Milford.

Funeral services will be Monday, April 16, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Independent Baptist Church in South Milford. 

Officiating the funeral service will be Rev. Willie Collins and Rev. Earl Bolen. 

Burial will be at Woodruff Cemetery in Wolcottville, Indiana. 

Preferred memorials may be made to the Sawyer Family.
