Ruby Jean Sparkman, age 76, died Saturday, June 10, 2017 at her residence in Corunna.  Mrs. Sparkman was born January 14, 1941 in Garrett, Kentucky to the late Harvey Hicks and Crystal (Thornsberry) Stidham.  She married Willie Sparkman on July 19, 1958 in Mousie, Kentucky and he preceded her in death on September 16, 2012.  Ruby retired from Federal Mogul in Avilla and she was a member of the Little Flossie Old Regular Baptist Church.

Survivors include:
Daughter, Shelia Slone of Kendallville.
Daughter, Sandy and Curt Lynch of Corunna.
Son, Duane and Lisa Sparkman of Auburn.
Son, Keith and Julie Sparkman of Garrett.
Daughter, Leneta and Tony Robbins of Garrett.
17 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren.
Brother, Charles Hicks of Garrett, Kentucky.
Brother, Angelo Hicks of Kentucky.
Brother, Joey Hicks of Kentucky.
Brother, Cracker “Jimmy” Hicks of Lafayette, Indiana.
Sister, Margaret Johnson of Corunna.
Sister, Refus Ashley of Kentucky.
She was also preceded in death by sisters, Velma Collins, Vessie Crager, and Margie Hicks; and brothers, William Lee Hicks, Chester “Sonny” Hicks, Darrell Hicks, and Mark “Buddy” Hicks. 

Visitation will be held Monday from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at Hite Funeral Home in Kendallville.
Visitation will also be held Tuesday after 3:00 PM at Little Flossie Old Regular Baptist Church in Lisbon with a service at 6:00 PM.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Little Flossie Church.
Burial will take place at Corunna Cemetery.
