Ruth Veronica (Faurote) Rulka

Ruth Veronica (Faurote) Rulka died peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, May  25 , 2016 with family by her side.  Ruth was born March 11, 1923 to Joseph & Eva Faurote in Decatur, Indiana.  On January 5th, 1946 she married Charles E. Rulka and together they had seven children. She loved being a mother more than anything, and delighted in being a helpmate to Charlie. Ruth was also an astute businesswoman, an entrepreneur, and an expert in her field of antiques. She was always a loving presence in her extended family and community. Ruth had a sense of humor, a beautiful smile, and a sparkle in her eyes.  Her laughter infused many family gatherings.  She nurtured many and loved all, touching numerous lives.  She left this world a better place at the completion of her 93 beautiful years.  Ruth was deeply satisfied at the end of her life and was certain in her love for God and appreciation for all she had been gifted with in her lifetime. She was predeceased by husband Charles and son Steve.  

She is survived by her children Shirley, Linda, Diane (Bill), Carol, Kathleen (Brian) and David; grandchildren Jennilee (Rob), Christopher, Justin, Jessica (Paul), Clare, Will, David, and Eva along with beloved grand-dog Lucy Marie, and great grandchildren Phenix, Scarlett, Levi, Maxine and Zelda. 

The family will receive visitors at 10:00 am on Saturday, May 28th, 2016 at The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception with a funeral mass to follow at 11:00 am. Private internment will follow.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be designated for the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception Preservation Fund.  “For His Eye is on the Sparrow, and I Know He Watches Me.”
