Scott Uhl, age 58, of Avilla, died at his home on Tuesday, June 20, 2017.  Scott was born July 23, 1958 in Kendallville, Indiana to the late Robert Lynn Uhl and Marcile Elaine (Haynes) Uhl.  He graduated from East Noble High School in 1976 and was married to Rosanna Marie (Dilley) Honaker on August 27, 1982 at Mt. Pleasant Lutheran Church near Kendallville.  Scott was employed with Foamex in Auburn for 16 years.  In 1994, he started Uhl Realty in Avilla until 2001 and he also co-owned Remax HRS for three years.  He worked at Avilla Hardware for 12 years and Van’s Home Center in Auburn as the warehouse manager since 2013.  Scott was a member of the Noble County Community Fair Board from 1984-2016 and took a leadership role with the Avilla Freedom Festival.  

Survivors include:
Wife, Rose Uhl of Avilla.
Son, Andy and Amanda Uhl of Avilla.
Daughter, Michelle and Randy Krock of Avilla.
Son, Chad and Jennifer Honaker of Avilla.
Son, Zach Honaker of Kendallville.
Ten grandchildren: Bryce Krock, Kelsie Krock, Mason Elliot, Caeden Honaker, Kyliegh Honaker, Garrett Honaker, Keaton Honaker, Brenna Honaker, Dalton Uhl, and Mara Uhl. One great grandson, Jace Amstutz. 
Sister, Tana and Dan Brown of LaOtto.
Brother, Rodney and Barbara Uhl of Batesville, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held Thursday from 2:00 – 8:00 PM at Hite Funeral Home in Kendallville. 
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 23, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Mt. Pleasant Lutheran Church near Kendallville with Pastor Phyllis Smoot officiating.  There will be calling at the church one hour prior to the service.
Burial will take place at Mt. Pleasant Lutheran Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to Mt. Pleasant Lutheran Church.
