Shirley Ellen (Liebing) Beiswanger

Shirley Ellen (Walker) Beiswanger, age 92, of Kendallville, died Thursday, November 23, 2017 at Lutheran Life Villages in Kendallville.  Mrs. Beiswanger was born in Kendallville, Indiana on January 3, 1925 to the late Paul E. and Idress (Wright) Liebing.  She graduated from Kendallville High School in 1943 and Skadron Business School in Fort Wayne in 1944.  She married Darl V. Walker in 1946 and they were married for 28 years before Darl was killed in a car crash in 1974.  They had two children together; a daughter, Sandra and a son, Craig.  On June 29, 1980, Shirley married M. Eldon Beiswanger.  They celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary in 2005, four months prior to Eldon’s death in October 2005.   Shirley was a long time member of the South Milford Church of Christ and she played the piano and organ for worship services for many years.  Early on, she was employed with McCray Refrigeration in Kendallville.  She also was worked at First Federal Savings Bank in Kendallville for 20 years before retiring in 1995.  

Survivors include:
Daughter, Sandra Brady-Duncan and her husband, Rick Duncan of Angola.
Son, Craig Walker and his companion, Barbara Hendrick of Angola.
Four grandchildren: Shelly (Roy) Williams of Kendallville; Kimberly (Steve) Clouse of Kendallville; Tonya (Jay) Quinn of Orlando, Florida; Brad (Angie) Walker of Angola.  
Five great grandchildren: Samantha Williams, Sydney Williams, Sara Williams, Nathan Clouse, and Alex Clouse.
Two step children: David Beiswanger of South Milford and Christine (Glenn) Stutzman of Goshen. 
Six step grandchildren: Dane (Chantel) Beiswanger, Drew (Naomi) Beiswanger, Danielle Beiswanger, Brandon (Lyndsay) Stutzman, Bradley (Tiffany) Stutzman, and Brady (Andrea) Stutzman.
Brother, Lynn and Lois Liebing of Avilla.
She was also preceded in death by step son, Dorane Beiswanger; and brother, Paul Wade Liebing.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 26, 2017 at 3:00 PM at the South Milford Church of Christ with visitation one hour prior to the service. 
Memorial donations may be made to the South Milford Church of Christ. 
Burial will take place later at Woodland Cemetery in Wolcottville.
