Thurman "Jody" Handshoe

Thurman “Jody” Handshoe, age 66, died Thursday, January 19, 2017 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana.  Jody was born February 17, 1950 in Salt Lick, Kentucky to the late Floyd and Dollie (Griffith) Handshoe.  He was a foundry and factory worker employed with Dalton Foundry in Kendallville and Morgan Olson Corp in Sturgis, Michigan.

He is survived by:
Daughter, Loretta Price and Charles Stockert of Kendallvile.
Daughter, Lucy and Alan Howell of McDowell, Kentucky.
Daughter, Margaret Jones and Obie Young of McDowell, Kentucky.
Seven grandchildren: Erica Howell, Ashley Howell, Ryan Howell, Michael Little, Tara Little, Tyler Jones, and Brooke Young.
Six great grandchildren: Hannah, Noah, Brayden, Layla, Ayden and Aubrey.
Brother, Johnny and Linda Handshoe of LaGrange.
Brother, Hershel and Margaret Handshoe of Rome City.
Brother, Arnold Handshoe of Salt Lick, Kentucky.
Brother, Bufford and Gaye Handshoe of Salt Lick, Kentucky.
Sister, Trudy and Bill McClish of Helmer.
Sister, Reva Livergood of Auburn.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Herman, Daniel, and Cletis.

There will be a gathering of family and friends at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at the Helmer Baptist Church in Helmer, Indiana with a funeral service at 5:00 PM.
