William "Butch" J. Metsker, age 74, of Gas City, Went to Heaven on Sunday, September 10, 2017.  Mr. Metsker was born on June 24, 1943 to the late Lawrence and Mary Jo (Davis) Metsker.  Butch graudated from Kokomo High school in 1961 and then served his country honorably with the United States Navy.  He married his beloved Kathy Miitsch in Kokomo and she preceded him in death on December 16, 2001.  Butch worked in manufacturing for Cabot, Dana and United Technologies.  He retired from the V.A. hospital where he worked in dietetics.  Butch enjoyed both motorcycling and biking.  He was a member of the Jonesboro American Legion, Legion Riders, and Breakway Cycling Club.  With his son Brian, he completed the Hilly Hundred, Hoosier Hills and other 100 mile rides.  He loved camping with both of his sons and two dear friends, Tom Anderson and Jim London.  Butch loved his Honda motorcycle and fishing.  
Survivors include:
Son, Brian and Shannon Metsker.
Son, Patrick and Jennifer Metsker.
Step-daughter, Danielle (Miitsch) Lowe.
Caregivers, Tonya Phillippe, Jeremy Phillippe, Charlie and Linda Schultz.

Funeral service will be held on Thurday, September 14, 2017 at 12:00pm at V.A. Chapel in Marion with calling one-hour prior from 11:00am-12:00pm.
Burial will take place at Gardens of Memory in Marion.
Officiating the services will be Pastor Mark Atkinson.
