Willie Curtiss Gibson, age 75, died Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at Parkview Noble Hospital in Kendallville, Indiana.  Mr. Gibson was born on September 19, 1941 in Dorton, Kentucky to the late Nathan Gibson and Nola Mae (Mullins) Gibson.  He grew up in the Lackey and Garrett area.  He married Linda Mae Tackett on December 26, 1960 in Wise, Virginia.  Willie was a foundry man all of his working career.  He retired from Dalton Foundry in Kendallville in 2007 and worked in several area foundries including Kendallville, Mahoney, Lane and Fort Wayne Foundries.  He enjoyed drinking coffee with his buddies at Maria’s in Waterloo, squirreling at Bixler Lake with Linda, University of Kentucky basketball, NASCAR, and playing cards. 

Survivors include:
His wife, Linda Gibson of Kendallville.
Daughter, Patty and Gregg Seutter of Waterloo.
Two grandsons and their fiancés, Patrick Hicks and Brittany Scott of Ligonier and Nathan Hicks and Caitlin Hull of Avilla.
One great granddaughter, Ava Hicks.
Sister, Ocie Spriggs of Lisbon.
Brother, Wilburn and Trudy Gibson of Auburn.
Like children to Willie and Linda, Dave and Rhonda Lange and their children, Taryn and Travis Davis, Brooke Lange, and Ruby Davis. 
Many special nieces and nephews and close family and friends.  

He was also preceded in death by an infant son, Nathan Gibson, his siblings Willis Gibson, Nellis Gibson, Gladys Hurst, Garland Gibson, and Helen and Raymond. 

Visitation will be Friday, March 3, 2017 from 3:00-7:00 PM at Hite Funeral Home in Kendallville and Saturday an hour prior the funeral service. 
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Brad Darr officiating the service.
Burial will take place at Lake View Cemetery in Kendallville.
Memorial donations may be made to the family to be used in the future for Ava’s college expenses.
