WYNEMIA JOAN GREER,age 79, formerly of Merriam and recently of Kendallville, died on Wednesday,
January 26, 2011 at Parkview Memorial Hospital, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Mrs. Greer was born in Corunna, Indiana on November 11, 1931 to the late Harold William McDonald and Pauline Dorothy (Welch) McDonald.
She graduated from Waterloo High School in 1947 and married Howard Wilson Greer on September 25, 1948 in Corunna. The Greers lived their entire married life south of Merriam until Howard preceded her death in June 2002.
Mrs. Greer worked at Blue Bell, maker of Wrangler Jeans, in Columbia City for 15 years. She also worked at Custom Service and Adpak in Cromwell four years.
She was a member of the V.F.W. Post #2749, Women's Auxillary in Kendallville.
Wynemia enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and baking cookies for them. She loved crocheting and working on crossword and jigsaw puzzles. She also loved gardening and canning, feeding the birds and reading.

Son, Ed and Steph Greer of Churubusco.
Daughter, JoEllen and Randy Reeve of Albion.
Son, Jay and Patty Greer of Wawaka.
Son, John and Tammy Greer of Albion.
17 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 4 great great-grandchildren.
Brother, Jim and Betty McDonald of Waterloo.
Brother, Glenn and Kat McDonald of Corunna.
Brother, Kenny and Karen McDonald of Kendallville.
Brother, Lynn and Becky McDonald of Corunna.
Sister-in-law, Wava McDonald of Auburn.
Daughter, Cathy and Marks Weeks of Vicksburg, Michigan.

She was also preceded in death by her son, Jim Greer, who died in November 2008; one grandchild, Cody Sparks;

Visitation will be Sunday, January 30, 2011 from 1:00-6:00pm at Hite Funeral Home, 403 South Main Street in Kendallville.
Funeral services will be Monday, January 31, 2011 at 11:00am at Hite Funeral Home.
Burial will be at Fairfield Center Cemetery near Corunna.
Preferred Memorials may be made to V.F.W. Post #2749.
Casketbearers will be her grandsons: Denver, Jared, James, Bubba, Jody, David, Ben, Andrew, Howard, and Jason.
