JOYCE GERST, age 79, of Kendallville died on Friday, May 4, 2012 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.
Mrs. Gerst was born in Chicago, Illinois on October 25, 1932 to the late Troy and Fern (Fouts) Baldridge. She served her country in the United States Marine Corps from to 1951-54. She married Robert V. Gerst on 04/23/1971 in Kendallville. Joyce was employed with Flint & Walling where she retired in April 1996 after 25 plus years of dedicated service. She was a member of the American Legion Post 86, Kendallville and Noble Chapter #122, Order Of Eastern Star.
Survivors include:
Her husband, Robert Gerst of Kendallville.
Daughter, Michele Girardot of Kendallville.
Son, Michael and Jane Girardot of Kendallville.
Daughter, Robin and Kevin Chalifoux of Spencer, MA.
Daughter, Debra Yahne of Avilla.
Son, Tim and Michelle Gerst of Avilla.
Daughter, Jenny and Dan Fritz of Avilla.
16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Sister, Joan Wszelaki of Centralia, Illinois.
Brother, Oral Baldridge of Mt. Vernon, Illinois.
Visitation will be May 7, 2012 from 5:00-8:00pm at Hite Funeral Home, 403 South Main Street in Kendallville. There will be no funeral service.
