ALLEN LERON PYLE, age 72, of Kendallville, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, March 4, 2010 at Parkview Memorial Hospital, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Mr. Pyle was born in South Bend, Indiana on January 27, 1938 to Albert Leron and Dorothy Mae (Johnson) Pyle.
He graduated from Albion Jefferson High School in 1956 and went to barber’s school in Indianapolis.
Known in the area as “Al The Barber”, he made barbering his life-long career and he was a well in the Kendallville area for giving haircuts for more than 50 years.
He married Martha Marie Baker on June 29, 1985 at the Church of God in Kendallville.
Family and church were very important to Al. As a member of the Harvest Community Church, he was involved as an elder and treasurer and Bible study host. Al went on many mission trips over the years,
his last was to Etheopia. He was also involved in Prison Film Ministry.
Al collected antique model cars and had an extensive collection of Franklin Mint cars. He loved reading,
wood carving, and he was proud of the fact that he was the first Eagle Scout in Noble County.

Father, Albert Pyle of Kendallville.
Son, Jardan Pyle of Las Vega, Nevada.
Daughter, Kimberly and Roger Bolen of Kendallville.
Son, Brad and Kari Sage of Kendallville.
Son, Gary Sage of Kendallville.
Son, Bret Sage of Kendallville.
Grandchildren: Angela and Ricky Williams, Derek Bolen, Courtney Bolen, Lindsay Bolen, Lauren Sage, Morgan Sage, Ashlyn Sage, Sean Sage, Tim Fugate, Brent Sage, Cory Sage, Kyland Sage, and Chase Sage.
Great grandchild: Trenton Bolen
Sister, Nancy and Jack Cole of Albion.
Brother, Ernie and Sue Pyle of Churubusco.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy; his first wife, Carol (Moore) Pyle; a sister, Joann French; and a brother, Ron Pyle.
Visitation will be Sunday, March 7, 2010, from 2:00-6:00pm at Hite Funeral Home in Kendallville.
Funeral Services will be Monday, March 8, 2010 at 11:00am at Harvest Community Church in Kendallville. There will be an hour of visitation before the funeral service at the church.
Officiating the funeral service will be Pastor Jack Crothers.
Burial will be at Lake View Cemetery in Kendallville.
Casketbearers will be Derek Bolen, Trevor Pyle, Tim Fugate, Larry Baker, Brandan Baker, and Rod Eagleson.
Preferred Memorials may be made to Harvest Community Church.
