JOSEPH MICHAEL PRUCINSKY, age 65, of Valparaiso, died on Saturday, March 6, 2010 at the University of Chicago Hospital, Chicago, Illinois.
Mr. Prucinsky was fomerly of Ligonier were he was born on August 16, 1944 to the late Joseph and Margaret (Fuzey) Prucinsky.
He graduated from Albion Jefferson High School in 1962 and attended Purdue University for two years before entering the United States Nuclear Navy. He served in the Navy for eight years during the Vietnam Era.
He married Ann Marie Glascow on September 6, 1965 at St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Chapel on Big Long Lake near Stroh.
Joe retired in January 2006 from NIPSCO after 28 years of service as a Senior Instructor/Operations.
He was a member of the St. Paul Catholic Church in Valparaiso and enjoyed fishing and woodworking.
Joe was blessed with the unique gift of mastering many different tasks especially repairing things.

His wife, Ann Prucinsky of Valparaiso.
Son, Joseph and Caitlyn Prucinsky of Fishers, Indiana.
Son, Matthew and Kimberly Prucinsky of Vail, Arizona.
Daughter, Angela and Scott Bartlett of Valparaiso.
Five grandchildren: Amelia and Josalyn Prucinsky, Alexander, Cole, Jacob Bartlett.
Mother-in-law, Teresa Glascow of Hudson.
Sister, Patricia and Jack Ottaiano of Shorewood, Illinois.
Brother, Gary Prucinsky of Ligonier.
Sister, Rosemary and Don Gillespie of Ligonier.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, Robert Prucinsky; and sisters, Mary Ellen Prucinsky and Virginia Barnes.
Visitation will be Monday, March 8, 2010 from 5:00-8:00pm at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, 509 West Division Street in Valparaiso, Indiana.
A second visitation will take place Tuesday, March 9, 2010, from 11:00am-1:00pm at St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Chapel on Big Long Lake near Stroh, Indiana.
Mass of Christian Burial will also be Tuesday at 1:00pm at St. Mary of the Angels Chapel.
Officiating the funeral service will be Fr. David Carkenord.
Burial will be at Wright Cemetery near Stroh.
Preferred Memorials may be made to Leukemia Research Foundation or to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
