DAVID W. WILSON, age 80, of Kendallville died on Friday, January 22, 2010 at Kendallville Manor Health Care Center where he has received excellent care since 2006.

He was born in Moline, Illinois on July 15, 1929 to the late Robert and Edna (Swain) Wilson.

Mr. Wilson graduated from Rock Island High School in 1947. He later attended the Art Institute of Chicago. He served his country in the United States Army for two years from 1951 to 1953. During his time in the military he served as a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division.

Mr. Wilson was the president of Wilson and Lund Advertising Agency in Moline, Illinois for 20 years retiring around 1980.

He liked to paint and draw, shopping at Wal-mart, spending time on Sylvan Lake in Rome City, and traveling with family. Mr. Wilson loved spending time with his family, grandchildren and friends. He also liked trains, both traveling on them and watching them.

Survivors include: one son; David W. and Chandra Wilson of Rome City, Indiana

six daughters; Elizabeth and Eric Lund of McKinney, Texas

Eileen and Mike Ickes of East Moline, Illinois

Mary Wilson of Finley, Ohio

Sarah Nelson of Austin, Texas

Jennifer and Roan Ebert of Liberty Hill, Texas

Amy and Jonathon Brewer of Carrollton, Texas

12 grandchildren

one sister; Dorothy Ann Ashby of Iowa

life-long friends; John and Rosie Dingeldein of Rock Island, Illinois

He was preceded in death by his parents, several brothers and sisters and his former wife; Ann Roesler Wilson.

There will be no vistitaion or services.
