James Frederick "Jim" Ginder, age 78, of Kendallville, passed away unexpectedly on January 11, 2024 at home. Mr. Ginder was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana on October 29, 1945 to the late Elga Frederick Ginder and Zelma (Showalter) Ginder. He graduated from Northside High School in 1962 and was employed by General Electric in Fort Wayne for 15 years. He married Paulette Ann Bauermeister on April 24, 1964 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was a well known DJ for 30 years and went by Class Tracks DJ. Jim loved to go fishing and he loved woodworking. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge in Fort Wayne and the American Legion.
Survivors include:
Wife, Paulette Ginder of Kendallville.
Son, Richard "Rick" Ginder of Kendallville.
Son, William "Bill" Ginder of South Milford.
Daughter, Dawn and David Forker of Kendallville.
Eight grandchildren: Courtney and Jonathan Beckley of Albion, Shanna and Casey Pence of Kendallville, Michael Ginder of Kendallville, Nicholas Ginder of Kendallville, Hilary Lewis of Kendallville, Destiny and Peyton Laley of Fort Wayne and Hunter Forker of Kendallville.
Nine great grandchildren: Kalista Pence, Kaysten Pence, Kayleigha Pence, Kiyzer Pence, Lillianna Beckley, Layla Dusseau, Aidryanna Lewis, Maizee Lewis, and Koen Lewis.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Elga and Zelma Ginder; granddaughter, Morgan Ginder; brother, Howard W. Ginder; and sister, Janet Tumbelson.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 17, 2024 from 4:00 - 7:00 PM at Hite Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 18, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Hite Funeral Home with Pastor Robert Monroe officiating.
Burial will follow at Lake View Cemetery in Kendallville.
