Levi Borntreger Obituary

Levi Borntreger, age 86, of Huntington, passed away Friday, April 12, 2024 at Bethlehem Woods, Fort Wayne. Mr. Borntreger was born in Oelwein, Fayette County, Iowa on October 29, 1937 to the late Christen and Dena (Hochstetler) Borntreger. He honorably served his country in the United States Army. He married Carolyn Sue (Gaskill) Lhamon and she preceded him in death. Levi was a Christian man for years. Levi was a great man of God who loved his church family and anyone he was able to be around he will be missed. He came from a family of 13 leaving behind two sisters and six brothers that he loved dearly. He was a great brother, father, son, husband and great friend. He also loved fixing things. 

Survivors include: 

Son, Tim Borntreger of Fort Wayne.

Son, Todd Borntreger of Scipio.

Daughter, Melissa Borntreger Ostrow of Marion.

Son, Robert Borntreger of Huntington.

Son, Bradley and Candy Borntreger of Huntington.

Son, Neal and Lori Lhamon of Kentucky.

Son, Rick Lhamon of Huntington. 

23 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Brother, Joe Borntreger of Centerville, Michigan.

Brother, Jake Borntreger of Centerville, Michigan.

Sister, Mary Wagler of Goshen.

There will be a memorial service and celebration of life Saturday, April 27, 2024, from 12:00 - 2:00 PM at Christian Life Tabernacle, 943 Swan Street, Huntington, Indiana with Pastor Richard Fishburn officiating the service.
