Roger Holbrook

Roger L. Holbrook, age 74, passed away on January 7, 2021 at his residence after a six-month battle with cancer. Mr. Holbrook was born on February 28, 1946 in Garrett, Kentucky to Edgar and Julia (Young) Holbrook. He was a 1964 graduate of Garrett High School, Garrett, Kentucky. He proudly served his country in the United States Army having served two years in Germany as a communications specialist. He retired from Dalton Foundry after 43 years. On September 20, 1970, he married the love of his life, Gladys Amburgey, at the First Christian Church in Wise, Virginia.

Survivors include:
His wife, Gladys Holbrook of Kendallville.
His daughter, Tara and Jeremy Arnett of Avilla. 
Two granddaughters whom he adored, Madison and McKenna Arnett of Avilla.
Brother, Floyd and Gale Holbrook of Lexington, Kentucky. 
Sister, Mary and David Adkins of Richmond, Kentucky. 
Sisters-in-law, Charlotte Holbrook and Juniv Holbrook both of Kendallville. 
Roger was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, James Holbrook and David Holbrook; and sisters, Oretta Hodge and Roberta Holbrook.

There will be no visitation or funeral service.
