Alivea Lynne Kurtz, age 4, died Monday, July 30, 2018 in a farming accident.  She was born June 30, 2014 in Kendallville, Indiana to Cody Michael Kurtz and Erika Lynne (Schermerhorn) Kurtz.  Alivea was a preschooler at Ruth Stultz Preschool in Ligonier. 

Survivors include:
Her parents, Cody and Erika Kurtz of Wawaka.
Her two brothers, Braxten and Liam Kurtz of Wawaka.
Maternal grandparents, David and Stacey Schermerhorn of Wawaka.
Paternal grandparents, Michael and Willodean Kurtz of Rome City.
Maternal great grandparents, John David and Sue Schermerhorn of Sylvan Lake.
Maternal great grandmother, Arlene Freeman of Wolcottville.
Paternal great grandmothers, Donna Kurtz of Avilla and Beatrice Schrader of Sturgis, Michigan.
Aunt, Ashley Schermerhorn of Wawaka.
Aunt, Brandi and Jonathan Stidham of Upper Long Lake near Albion.
Uncle, Dylan Schermerhorn of Wawaka.
Uncle, Dustin Schermerhorn, his fiancé, Kimberlee VanGorder, and cousin, Owen of Avilla.
She was preceded in death by maternal great grandfather, Dale Freeman in 2012; paternal great grandfathers, William Price in 2017 and Jack Kurtz in 2011; and paternal great grandmother, Linda Price in June 2018.

Visitation will be held Friday from 2:00 – 8:00 PM at Hite Funeral Home, 403 South Main Street in Kendallville.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 4, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Destiny Family of Faith, 445 North Riley Street, Kendallville, with visitation an hour prior to the funeral. 
Burial will take place at Orange Cemetery with a luncheon following at the Brimfield United Methodist Church.
Pallbearers will be Braxten Kurtz, Liam Kurtz, Dustin Schermerhorn, Dylan Schermerhorn, and Jonathan Stidham.
Memorial donations may be made to the Ruth Stultz Preschool, Ligonier.
