Beverly Beatrice Ream, age 94, of Kendallville, died on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 9:15 PM at Lutheran Life Villages in Kendallville where she resided the past year.  Mrs. Ream was born on January 2, 1924 in rural Kendallville, Indiana to the late Lloyd and Laurel (Cary) Becker.  She grew up in Kendallville where she graduated from Kendallville High School in 1942.  On October 9, 1945, she married Robert Joseph Ream at Mt. Pleasant Lutheran Church rural Kendallville and he preceded her in death on June 26, 1983.  She lived in Avilla for many years where she raised her children before moving to Kendallville in 1984.  Beverly was a loving wife, mother and homemaker.  For 21 years, she worked in the East Noble High School cafeteria. She also sold Avon and cleaned at Peoples Federal Savings Bank for many years. She volunteered in the gift shop at McCray Hospital and the Bargain Shop.  Prior to her declining health, she was at First Christian Church in Kendallville. Above all, family was most important to Beverly. She was very proud of her grandchildren and great grandchildren and attended all of their special events.  She was well known to be an amazing cook and baker, a talent that she passed on to her granddaughters. In her younger years, she enjoyed ballroom dancing, playing cards, and crocheting. 

Survivors include:
Son, Craig and Linda Ream of rural Avilla.
Son, R. Clark and Beth Ream of Kendallville.
Daughter, Cathy and John Frisch of Kendallville.
7 grandchildren: Mike Ream, Lynette and Jim Hanes, Candice and John Brazzell, Mindy and Kyle Dukes, Holly and Austin Slater, Ashley and Drew Baker, and Laura and John Silver. 
17 great grandchildren: Connor Wagner, Cassidy Fisher, Courtney Wagner, Caleb Fisher, Keaton Dukes, Kane Dukes, Aaron Brazzell, Evan Baker, Jack Slater, Carson Fisher, Zoe Baker, Jonah Slater, Blake Silver, Alivia Baker, Rylee Silver, Micah Baker, and Hayden Silver. 
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; sister, Betty Kline; and longtime gentleman friend, Robert Schmidt who died in 2017. 

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 2, 2019 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at Hite Funeral Home in Kendallville.
Funeral services will be Thursday, January 3, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Hite Funeral Home.
Pastor Robert Farmer will officiate the funeral.
Burial will follow at Sweet Cemetery near Albion. 
Memorial donations may be made to First Christian Church or the Bargain Shop.
