Dale Harmeyer

Dale Keith Harmeyer, age 66, of Sylvan Lake, Rome City, died June 29, 2018 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.  He was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana on March 3, 1952 to Wilmer and Margaret (Thompson) Harmeyer.  He graduated from Snider High School in 1970. Dale was employed with Kraft Foods in Kendallville for more than 20 years before retiring in 2017. He was married Jonnee (Nivens) Ensley on July 6, 2013 on Sylvan Lake.  Dale loved spending quality time with his family and grandkids, living on Sylvan Lake and his Ski Nautique boat.  He was an avid water skier and snow skier.  He loved sailing, hiking, and playing golf. He helped bring NASA Soccer to the area in 1994 and was an active member of the Sylvan Lake Association.

Wife, Jonnee Ensley of Sylvan Lake.
Mother, Margaret Harmeyer of Fort Wayne.
Son, Skip and Lisa Harmeyer of Kendallville.
Son, Dane and Jennifer Harmeyer of Jeffersonville.
Son, Cody and Andrea Harmeyer of Avilla.
Son, Troy and Brittney Harmeyer of Kendallville.
Stepson, Jake and Jocelyn Ensley of Fort Wayne.
10 grandchildren with one on the way.
Sister, Dorothy and Gary Gilmore of Fort Wayne.
Brother-in-law, Robert Hilgenkamp of Nebraska.
Dale was preceded in death by his father, Wilmer and sister, Charlotte Hilgenkamp.

There will be a gathering of family and friends to celebrate Dale’s life on Saturday, July 7, 2018 from 1:00 – 5:00 PM at the Harmeyer residence on Sylvan Lake, 290 Spring Beach Road, Rome City, Indiana.
