Danny Joe Bennett

Danny Joe Bennett, Sr., age 55, died June 12, 2017. He was born July 19, 1961 in Fort Wayne to Wilbur and Patricia (Young) Bennett.  He graduated from Carroll High School.  He married Karen Elizabeth Scribner on July 2, 1999.  Survivors include his wife, Karen of Fort Wayne; daughter, Cathy Bennett of Fort Wayne; son, Cody Van Alstine of Fort Wayne; and step children, Danielle Acosta and Mitchell Short and seven grandchildren.  Also surviving are his sisters, Laura West of Fort Wayne, Diane Wilson of Arkansas; brother, Kenny Bennett of New Haven.  He was preceded in death by a son, Danny Elkins; brothers, Billy Bennett and Clifford Bennett. 
Memorial services will be held at a later date at Sonrise Church in Fort Wayne.
