David Christian

David Michael Christian, age 67, went home to be with the Lord on Easter Sunday, April 16, 2017 at Parkview Hospice in Fort Wayne.  David was born October 13, 1949 in Bartley, West Virginia to the late Mastin and Oma (McIntosh) Christian. He married Carolyn DeRossett on March 2, 1968 in Kendallville, Indiana and she preceded him in death on March 6, 2003.  David retired from Essex Wire in 2012 after 35 years of service.  He was a member of Bethel Christian Baptist Church.

Survivors include:
Son, Mark and Barbara Christian of Fort Wayne.
Daughter, April and David Blank of Owensboro, Kentucky.
Son, Kevin and Sabrina Christian of Auburn.
9 grandchildren: Cassandra Short, Ariel Christian, Alana Christian, Colby Christian, Grace Christian, Lauren Blank, Christian Blank, Laura Christian, and Anna Christian.
2 great grandchildren: Madisyn Short and Emma Short. 
Sister, Pauline Frazier of Ashland, Kentucky.
Sister, Nancy “Doll” White of Spartanburg, South Carolina.
Brother, Everett Christian of Kendallville. 
Brother, Robert “Bob” and Theresa Christian of Huntersville, North Carolina.
Brother, Tom Christian of LaGrange.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Cody Christian, his siblings, Ellis “Teen” Christian, Amy Tedesco, Florence Laxton, and Larry Christian.

Visitation will be held Friday, April 21, 2017 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Bethel Christian Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the church will visitation an hour prior to the funeral service.
Officiating the service will be Pastor Shawn Shepherd.
Burial will take place at Orange Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the family.
Arrangements entrusted to Hite Funeral Home of Kendallville.
