I'd like to express my sympathy to the family of Don, he was such a lovely man. Each day, regardless of how he felt, he'd come to the post office and give us his newspaper. We so appreciated his smile, his caring and his example of what a proud, giving human being is and what we all should strive to be. Blessings and thinking of you all in the days to come.

There are not enough words in the dictionary to describe my Grandpa. He was the kindest man with the sweetest soul. I remember summer vacations going to visit him and grandma. He would always make you feel so loved and welcomed. He would always lend a helping hand to those in need, and i have seen first hand the love and generosity he had for others, there were difficult times my parents went thru, as well as my husband and I, that Grandpa helped us thru and I could never repay or say thank you enough. He was so proud when my husband and I got married, that he insisted it was “his” penny that was taped to my shoe for good luck. I will forever cherish every moment I got to spend with him, I got to stay in the hospital with him a few nights about a month ago when I made a quick trip to Indiana, those nights I will forever remember, just sitting on the chair holding his hand and reminiscing about all the happy times we all shared as a family. He was a true fighter til he took his last breath and will continue to live on and fight thru us. My heart is shattered but I know he is in a better place, he will be forever missed and never forgotten. I love you Grandpa

Grandpa was always a very kind and warm person. From when we grew up with him til the last time we saw him this summer. He was always there with a kind word and encouragement. When grandma and grandpa came to visit me when I graduated from basic training, it was grandpa who suggested they stay a little longer when they knew I was nervous going back to the army. It was his kindness I saw when an unfortunate event hut my parents and he dud everything he could to help them out. This summer was probably the happiest anyone had ever seen him when we all took him to see his first baseball game. The smile he put on everyone's face when he sang along to Take Me Out To The Ballgame was truly priceless. Grandpa was a fighter and a scrapper right down to the last paycheck. Grandpa is someone who touched a lot of lives and the world lost a truly great and wonderful person.

Mr. Zeedyk was a very sweet man. I only knew him for a few weeks as I took "Meals in Motion" to him. (I was with him the day the EMS helped him from the car to the house). I'm am so sorry for your loss. It appears that he lived out his live peacefully and on his own terms. God bless you all at this time.
