Donna Penrod Obituary

Donna Jean Penrod, age 94, of Columbia City, passed away on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at her residence. Mrs. Penrod was born on September 15, 1923 in Gas City, Indiana to the late Glenn and Edythe (Longfellow) Greenlee. She graduated from Gas City High School. Donna married Garl E. Penrod on March 10, 1941 in Gas City. Donna was a homemaker and she loved to crotchet and sew. She also enjoyed cooking, baking, fishing and she was an avid card game and Scabble fan.
Survivors include:
Daughter, Glenda Walter of Elkhart.
Daughter, Beverly Voland of Columbia City.
Grandchildren, Michael (Beth) Barney, Cynthia (Tom) Carder, Rebecca (Scott) Davis, Vicki Martin, Karen (Lisa) Bennet-Voland, and Sonya Bontrager.
9 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Emogene Davis, and brother, Willliam Greenlee.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 3:00 pm with calling one hour prior from 2-3:00 pm at New Hope Wesleyan, 971 North 400 West, Columbia City, Indiana with Pastor Barry Faucett officiating the service. Burial will take place later at Marion National Cemetery. Memorial donations may be directed to Whitley County Parkview Hospice.
