Dorothy Lucille Owen, age 94, passed away Monday, January 29, 2018 at Woodview Assisted Living in Fort Wayne, Indiana.  Mrs. Owen was born August 17, 1923 on Dowling Street in Kendallville, Indiana to the late Fred and Minnie Louise (Whitzke) Kline. She married Calvin B. Owen on July 3, 1948 in Kendallville and he preceded her in death in 2003.  Dorothy was a lunch lady at the old Kendallville Central Elementary School and member of St. John Lutheran Church. She loved to go bowling and play golf. She was a member of the Kendallville Elks Lodge where she played golf up to the age 92!

Survivors include:
Daughter, Mitzi and Tom Becker of Fort Wayne.
Daughter, Linda and Dave Cimini of Fort Wayne.
Four grandchildren: Lisa and Robert Schwarz of Fort Wayne; Stephanie and Kevin Parks of Fort Wayne; Brett and Jacque Becker of Fort Wayne; and Anjela and Patrick Frederick of Fort Wayne.
Eleven great grandchildren and four great, great grandchildren.
Honey Precious, her fur baby. 
She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Della Whetzel and Helen Perkins; and two brothers, Alfred Kline and Robert Kline.

Visitation will be held Sunday, February 4, 2018 from 2:00 – 6:00 PM at Hite Funeral Home in Kendallville.
Funeral services will be held Monday, February 5, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Hite Funeral Home in Kendallville with Pastor Robert Shriner conducting the service.  There will be an hour of visitation prior to the funeral service.
Burial will follow the funeral at Lake View Cemetery in Kendallville.
Memorial donations may be made to St. John Lutheran Church.
