Elaine (McAllister) Bertsch

Elaine Donna (McAllister) Bertsch, 82, of Warsaw, went HOME to be with Jesus on April 13, 2019, as the result of injuries suffered in a car accident. 

She was born July 8, 1936, in Polson, Montana, to Donald and Virginia McAllister.  In 1956 she moved to Indiana, where she met her husband of 61 years, Lewis Bertsch.  Elaine lived life to the fullest, loving her family from all over the United States. Elaine and Lewis lived on Chapman Lake for 61 years and were actively involved with Chapman Lakes Conservation Club. Elaine was a member of the Double H Home Ec Club, Lake Lover’s Club and Euchre Club. She never met a stranger!

She is survived by Lewis and her children; Deb (Nick) DiToro of York, Nebraska, and Kent (Janet) Bertsch of Granger; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, three sisters, and many other family and friends, including her family of faith at the Warsaw Church of Christ. 
Elaine was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Chad.

There will be a come and go celebration of her life on April 28th from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at Chapman Lakes Conservation Association clubhouse, 3019 N 325 E, Warsaw, IN 46582.
