Ella Dean (Goodman) Mitchell

Ella Dean Mitchell, age 85, of Kendallville, died Monday, October 8, 2018 at Chandler Place, Kendallville. Mrs. Mitchell was born in Lackey, Kentucky on December 17, 1932 to the late Clint and Ellen (Conley) Goodman.  She married Grover Hassel Mitchell on July 2, 1954 in Lebanon, Kentucky and they moved to Kendallville in 1966 from West Virginia. Grover preceded her in death on February 14, 1993.  Ella was employed with Flint & Walling in Kendallville for 24 years.  She also worked at Uniform Printing.  She was a member of the Eastern Star, Noble Chapter #22.  

Survivors include:
Son, Peter and Marjorie Mitchell of Mullins, South Carolina.
Sister, Jean Coburn of Kendallville.
Sister, Elizabeth Goodman of Kendallville.
Brother, Harold Goodman of Houston, Texas.
Brother, Bill Goodman of Howe.
Brother, Claude “Bud” Goodman of Wolcottville.
Brother, Dave Goodman of Helmer.
Brother, James Goodman of Rome City.
She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Deborah; sister, Audrey Wallen; brothers, Clint Goodman, Jr. and Elmer Goodman.

Graveside funeral services will be held Friday, October 12, 2018 at 3:00 PM at Lake View Cemetery, Kendallville. Arrangements entrusted to Hite Funeral Home of Kendallville.
